Light green acicular crystals in groups to 1cm on black, carbonaceous petrified wood. The photos show the crystals are a light yellow, but indeed they are green! This is the best of the three on this Special Edition.
Named in honor of long term Arizona field collector Malcolm Alter. Malcolm can always be found at the "Market Place" during the Tucson show.

"Nests" of tiny acicular yellow crystals 5 to 10mm wide. Rich specimen with a signed label from Malcolm Alter, to whom the mineral is named after. Alterite has been found in only two worldwide localities.
