A small specimen but with rich coverage of this light blue indium arsenate. There are several tiny rosette crystals. This is the type and only locality. Yanomamite represents the only indium arsentate and is one of twelve know minerals containing essential indium. Jeepers!

The entire mass is Yttrotungstite-(Y) and is vuggy. Filling the vugs are a variety of habits of this very rare mineral including globular, smooth and spheroidal, and platy crystals. It is found only in Malaysa.

The locality is vague, is probably the nearest port or town near the actual deposit. The specimen is loaded with colorless, murky, long, flat tabular or bladed crystals to 2mm associated with equant Calcite crystals. One look at the locality review on Mindat and you can conclude the mineral forms in active geothermal environments. A rare zeolite.
