Small cabinet specimen of Cinnabar, a primary ore of mercury. I have visited this ancient mine. It brings back fond memories of when I was yanked off a plane by the TSA and interogated for an hour by the Feds. They didn't like the fact that I flew into the USA with a bag of mercury laden rocks from Almaden. What could I say? That's my job. It comes with a few older labels, one from 1965.
