The specimen has a sawed and polished side displaying the thin stringers of Scorzalite and the not so obvious Brazilianite and Kulanite. These secondary phosphates formed along cleavages and fractures in the Montebrasite. London published a paper in the American Mineralogist describing the geology and mineralogy of the White Picacho district lihium pegmatites. Click here to view this publication. White Picacho pegmatites have been studied more than any other pegmatites in Arizona. Both London and Jahns wrote numerous papers on these pegmatites.
