Purple translucent crystals of Amesite to nearly 5mm. Amesite is a phyllosilicate and memebr of the serpentine group. It is formed in low grade metamorphic environments. These crystals are pseudohexagonal often tapering along the c-axis. They are stunning under the scope. The purple most likely is due to chromium impurity.
