Much like the other Phosphosiderite in this Special Edition, this specimen is a good example of secondary iron phosphate oxidation. Phosphosiderite (mono) and its dimorph, Strengite (ortho) are late stage products of hydrothermal attack on phosphate pods namely but not limited to triphylite, heterosite, or rockbridgeite. This matrix is probably heterosite.
