A stream worn pebble of reddish orange Thoreaulite probably erroded from the pegmatite. As noted on Mindat, this is a huge lithium pegmatite, which "produced about 140,000 tonnes of cassiterite concentrate and 4500 tonnes of columbite–tantalite concentrate." Also from Mindat: Operations also suggest that the Manono deposit hosts one of the largest reserves of lithium in the world (30 M tons of spodumene at 6% lithium oxide)."

The specimen is from the stock of Dr. Jaroslav Hyrsyl.
