With a good shortwave fluorescent light the Bazirite is easily seen as shown in the photos. They are nearly impossible to detect even under the microscope with white light. The Bazirite in the specimen is intensely fluorescent and rich in matrix.

Bazirite is named for its chemical composition of BArium and ZIRconium.
