Golden brown, very thin plates of Simplotite along one of the edges of this specimen. These crystals look a lot like Sincosite crystals, and it's no wonder why as the composition is nearly the same. Sincosite's formula is Ca(VO)2(PO4)2 · 5H2O, which is similar to Simplotite, although the crystal systems are different. Simplotite is monoclinc whereas Sincosite is tetragonal. Sincosite can also occur as golden brown crystals, just like this specimen. These are just my observations and probably has no basis as to why they look alike.
