Green to mostly dark green with a greasy to vitreous luster in thick groups to which crystal forms are not really recognized on this specimen. I admire the Mindat photos which show good crystal forms which show alot of complicated forms. Gillardite is a rare copper-nickel hydroxyhalide found in only three places on Earth. The matrix is probably Gaspeite.
