Here is another specimen collected by the late Arnold Hampson. This guy was incredible and collected throughout the East coast, Midwest and Western States. Take a minute and read about Hampson's life of mineral collecting here. This specimen was collected on his western States tour is a nice ore mineral from the little known Holland mine in Arizona. Some of the areas on this specimen show a light green fibers of Tremolite (or other amphibole) indicating a total flood of sulfides engulfing the country rock in which it mineralized.
The Chalcopyrite is the typical golden color distinguishing it from Pyrite. Most of the matrix however is Galena.
