Silvery cylindrical crystals of Cylindrite to over 1cm composing much of matrix.

The mines of the Oruro department were originally established in 1606 by Don Manuel Castro de Padilla to produce Silver for the Spanish monarch Phillip III. Later in the nineteenth century it was mined for Tin and some areas are still worked to this day.
