Orange interlocking crystalline grains throughout mass. A common associate is a fluorescent mineral called Turneaurite, however there was no response to the UV lights. Donpeacorite forms by the metamorphism of high manganese-siliceous marbles. This mine dates back to 1838. It is worthy of note that the mineral occurs at only five worldwide localities.
