A 3cm dark purplish mass of Stannite and Ferrokesterite from an ore vein which is still attached to wall-rock from this important locality. The mine itself is located on Cligga Head on the coast of the west side Cornwall. Note that the three tin minerals from here (asside from Cassiterite) - Stannite, Ferrokesterite, and Kesterite can look a lot alike and often occur together. So with this specimen, you probably are getting all three. It's a good ore specimen which shows metallic mineralization and a band of outer mica alongside the wall-rock.
