Mogul of Prince Albert mine, Cripple Creek, Teller Co., Colorado, United States

tellurium , gold

Dull goldish prismatic crystals to 1mm in groups to 3mm and with scatered groups in vuggy matrix.

This mine is not reported to have tellurides at least on Mindat. It came out of the collection of Delbert Brown, a deceased geologist who was located in Custer, SD. Delbert spent a lot of time in Colorado collecing at some of the old mines. A typed label has "Mogul" of the Prince Albert mine. The research I have done did not uncover this exact locality, however there is a Prince Albert mine. Raman verified as Calaverite.
