Thick crystal of Betafite, Betafite sub-group of the Pyrochlore group that is, which appears to be partially altered. Crungy yet interesting piece.
The David Shannon label mentions that this piece was collected in 1907 by Mr. Lacroix and that it's Type locality, probably prior the the grouping and sub-grouping.
