Dr. Igor Pekov published the new mineral, Arsenowagnerite, in 2018. This specimen was used to help described this species. This is the only known locality. The mineral forms translucent, glassy light green crystals with Hematite in a fumarolic environment of the Tolbachik Volcano. On this specimen the crystals are about 0.5mm in size and were hard to photograph.
The full locality is: Arsenatnaya fumarole, Second scoria cone, Northern Breakthrough (North Breach), Great Fissure eruption (Main Fracture), Tolbachik volcano, Kamchatka Krai, Russia.
