Although, this specimen was originally posted as coming from Butte, it has come to our attention by a well-known locality expert, that the locality is actually Indian Head Rock, not Butte. These mistakes happen every now and then. Our knowledge for many of these minerals in this Special Edition was based on the Butte Mineralogical Record issue from 2002. According to our expert, even they got it wrong. Although we are not entirely convinced, we will rely on our expert's opinion. If any of you have other opinions, please let us know. We would love to hear from you. Thick tabular golden Barite encrusted over with possible Anglesite. Althought the side is cleaved off, it gives the viewer the opportunity see the rich golden color. See page 62 of Jenkins & Lorengo (Min. Record v. 33, n. 1 2002) for comparison.
