Galena from the Black Hills of South Dakota is seldom seen on the market. Only limited quantities were mined from the Double Rainbow mine, an underground silver mine near the town of Galena. This specimen contains thousands of cubo-octahedral crystals to 3mm with some micro Pyrite.
