Dark green mass of crystalline Forsterite with a greasy luster. It is probably associated with some Augite and Phlogopite although without thin section work it would be hard to see. Ex. Geological Institute of the University of Amsterdam with tag (see prov. tab). Vesuvius is the type localiy for Forsterite.
