Larger cabinet specimen with a zone of white, thin, plates of Fairfieldite-Messelite crystals to 4-5mm, It occurs along the contact with the parent Triphylite-Heterosite matrix. Jahnsite occurs mostly on the Fairfieldite as nut brown, striated crytals to 1mm. It is the original Jahnsite-(CaMnMg).
