This specimen was originally labeled as Krennerite with Calaverite. I tested this with EDS, and it came back as Coloradoite with only Hg and Te present. With these two elements present and nothing else, it could only be Coloradoite for at least the part I tested. The arrow points to the crystal I tested, which is 3mm. It flakes off platy with good cleavage with also a conchoidal fracture. When fresh, it is silvery in portions but black in other areas. It seems to tarnish a brassy gold color, but is also iridescent in places. It is also soft perhaps about a 2. This is however the majority of the metallic mineral present. Krennerite and Calaverite may also be present as there are other minerals.
