Iridescent and botryoidal crystal formations of Goethite. The Goethite can be seen as radial groups and concentric brown and dark brown layers along the side. The entire specimen is Goethite and it is of course heavy. This deposit is known for white, acicular sprays of Churchite, but also is host to a number of phosphate species including Strengite, Wavellite, and Cacoxenite. By all accounts this is a very nice specimen for this area and belongs in a museum. According to the  Kidwell label, it was obtained by him in 1961 from a Dr. Max Heinisch(sp?).
