Dull light brown platy mass intergrown with Triplite.

Triploidite, although maybe not a true primary phosphate, usually forms by metasomatic reaction with no oxidation of Triphylite in pegmatites. It is chiefly found in pegmatites, although beautiful crystals are found at the Iron Monarch mine, a Precambrian sedimentary banded iron deposit.
