Clinobarylite

Named as the monoclinic dimorph of barylite. Clinobarylite is found as radial aggregates of platy to prismatic crystals. The type and only locality for Clinobarylite is in the Khibiny massif on the Eveslogschorr and Yukspor mountains in the Kola Peninsula of Russia, where it occurs in alkaline pegmatites.

Extremely rare beryllium-barium silicate. This specimen is rich in white radial, platy to prismatic crystals to 4mm in Microcline. Identified by Dr. Igor Pekov.

White platy crystals to 1mm in a 5x2mm area. Barylite is a very rare beryllium mineral found in only two occurences worldwide, both in the Khibiny Massif. Identified by Dr. Igor Pekov.
