A silvery yellow plate of Tainolite to 2cm on syenite matrix.

Tainiolite is a Phyllosilicate - Monoclinic - Mica group member. Ordinary (True or Common) Mica - Trioctahedral with lithium and Mg(II), and fluorine in the (A) position.

Occurs as pseudohexagonal tablets to 5cm, as scales, colorless to brownish green. Found in nepheline syenite pegmatites at MSH and Hot Springs, Arkansas.
