Owyheeite from Broken Hill mine, Churchill Co., Nevada, United States

A hard locality to obtain, at least I have never seen it in my 20 years of selling minerals. This specimen has an area of about 1cm full of silvery capillary crystals. Excellent specimen for any locality.
Owyheeite from Silver City, Owyhee Co., Idaho, United States

Metallic, acicular or filliform crystals to 2mm.
Owyheeite from Silver Leaf mine, Covada dist., Ferry Co., Washington, United States

Several 2-4mm pockets lined with filliform rare Owyheeite. The Kidwell label only identifies the locality as "Ferry Co., Washington". I am basing the locality off of Mindat records.
Owyheeite from Bondholder claim, Ten Mile Creek, Slocum dist., British Columbia, Canada
Filliform crystals of rare Owyheeite.
Owyheeite from Morey dist., Nye Co., Nevada, United States
Very nice acicular crystals of Owyheeite, some with a slight curvature down the length of the crystal. The longest seems to be over 1mm and some of the crystals are altered to a white substance, but most are the typical grey. The pink are rhombic crystals of Rhodocrosite. Across most of the specimen are black or dark grey formless crystals of which are probably another silver mineral, perhaps Pyrargyrite, as some red reflections can be seen, Nice piece.
Owyheeite from Banner dist., Elko County, Nevada, United States
Steel gray filiform crystals in several pockets.
