Iowaite from Kaznakhtinskiy ultrabasic massif, Terekta Ridge, Altai Republic, Russia
Deep dark purple foliated mass of this interesting and rare member of the hydrotalcite group. This is I belief the only purple occurence of Iowaite, colored purple by chromium.
