Kawazulite from Montreal Canyon #2 mine, Mineral Co., Nevada, United States
Shiny metallic crystal grains, one 2mm and the other 1.5mm embedded in quartz. The larger grain is associated with visible Gold.
Kawazulite from Blue Bell mine, San Bernardino Co., California, United States
Metallic silver grains with an green alteration halo in Quartz. Ex Excalibur Mineral. A note: This specimen was labeled as from Montreal Canyon in Nevada. This locality is noted on Mindat and the reference is taken from the Handbook of Mineralogy. However, I was suspicious of this after looking at Blue Bell photos of Kawazulite as they look exactly like this specimen. Further, the Handbook of Mineralogy does not list it from Montreal Canyon. I believe that the reference on Mindat is erroneous. There is only one mineral listed from Montreal Canyon which is a little suspicious in itself.
