Hutchinsonite
from Quiruvilca mine, Santiago de Chuco prov., La Libertad dept., Peru

Superb slender prismatic crystals to 6 mm of dark metallic-black Hutchsonite with a dark yellow druse of crystalline Orpiment with minor Realgar.

Last three photos: RED long bladed crystals of Hutchinsonite. Hutchinsonite from this locality is a dark red and rarely seen as obviously red crystals. The crystals measure from 1-4mm and occur with Pyrite and thick, tabular, lustrous Selligmanite.
