A very rich specimen of Altaite, a rare telluride of lead. The silver veinlets are occur throughout the specimen with rich Gold throughout the specimen.

Altaite from Hilltop mine, Organ dist., Dona Ana Co., New Mexico, United States
This specimen is nearly all Altaite. You might think the brassy colored veins are Pyrite. But, examination under the scope reveals a sectility like butter. It is tarnished and fresh is a silvery color. The Tellurium is brittle and is scare on this specimen.
