Aubertite from Chuquicamata mine, El Loa Prov., Antofagasta, Chile

Aubertite
from Chuquicamata mine, El Loa Prov., Antofagasta, Chile

Light blue earthy Aubertite throughout the mass. The specimen also carries Quartz crystals, which look blue from the adjacent Aubertite. In the photos the crystals that are blue are just Quartz, not Aubertite. For a simple copper-aluminum sulfate it is only found in maybe a few dozen worldwide localities.
