A nodular mass with a yellowish core and outer reddish rim. The deposit was discovered in 1887 and is a fractionated or zoned pegmatite mined for Gadolinite.

Yttrium was first recognized as a new element in 1794 by chemist Johan Gadolin. The element is used in alloys and in high-tech glass which is heat and shock resistant.

I could not find too much about this mineral. It is not an IMA approved mineral. As the name implies, there is Ytrrium in the garnet structure.
