Alabandite is not the typical manganese ore. It usually does not occur in minable quantities. However, Alabandite may be in large quantities in epithermal polymetallic sulfide vein and also especially in low-temperature manganese deposits. 

This specimen contains partial dull black crystals to 1.4cm.
