Quite an interesting specimen which contains Silver in the casts of former Quartz crystals. The Silver occurs as 1mm formless groups in these casts and in one place the Silver forms curled wire. In these casts are seen the former striations of the Quartz crystals. The Silver also occurs in other places on the Bornite. Mindat# GOV-9YD. Chris van Laer collection - his post on Mindat states that it is from the Kelley mine, but he states in the description "exact mine is NOT known.

A cluster of 1.5 to nearly 2cm Covellite crystals with good hexagonal outlines replaced by Tennantite. The surface is sparkley with some unidentified micro crystals. The base is a 4cm crystal.
