Tsumeb Fine Mineral Specimens II

Friday, 28 November 2014 03:00 PM

Tsumeb is the most diverse mineral locality on Earth. An underground mine located in Namibia, Tsumeb was not only a great ore body but by the late 1960's captivated the mineral collecting world. Spectacular cabinet specimens of Azurite, Cerussite, Mimetite, Bayldonite, Adamite, and Wulfenite were found at Tsumeb. Extremely rare minerals also occur at Tsumeb. This includes 70 type locality species from a list of over 280 valid IMA minerals.
