Choice specimen of Chalcocite from this important and historical copper district. The crystals are gray with a slight bluish tint and most of the crystals are single and are deeply striated. Some of the crystals show a typical pseudohexagonal habit, a result of cyclic twinning. The Butte district is known for some of the best Chalcocite crystals in the world.
