A large cabinet specimen of hydrothermally altered parent Triphylite. On one side a large vug of 6 x 5cm is filled with dark pinkish red crystals of Hureaulite to at least 7mm. With the Hureaulite are great purple Leucophosphite crystals to 2mm. Large dark, dull black balls of Rockbridgeite also occur in this same vug. Most of the time Hureaulite from the Tip Top is a light pink, which is on the other side of this specimen.
On the flip side is another vug filled with light pink Hureaulite crystals to 1mm. These are associated with a light green Leucophosphite, which is a direct replacement of the Triphylite. But, a redeposited purple Leucophosphite fills the other half of the vug. That line of white crystals seen in the last photo is a group of Collinsite crystals less than 1mm in size. Yellow prismatic Jahnsite can be found along the fringes of the vug.
