Raman

Quite an interesting specimen that I finally did some analytical work on from the Don Phillips collection. The emerald green crystals, which are long thin prismatic are Zincolivenite. These were verified by Raman. The Zincolivenite are hosted within a pulverulent yellow mineral and a colorless platy mineral. The yellow mineral has not been identified but might be plumboagardite (EDS). Also contained within the yellow mineral are platy colorless crystals, originally thought to be Koritnigite, but it is NOT. It is only selentite (Raman). The overall host mineral is a mass of Chalcocite.

The original label from David New stated is was Warikahnite with Cuproadamite.
