Superb rich green octahedral crystals to 3mm. I could not get the color right in the photos, but it is close. It is actually a much better green in-hand. Also associated is Calcite and Pyrite.

This one is a natural beauty with good depth and eye appeal from all angles. The mineralogy is simple with frosted white Quartz on which cubo-octahedral Galena crystals have grown. They measure up to 9mm. Sprinkle around the specimen are tiny Chalcopyrite and pyrite crystals less than 1mm in size. It is a good pocket specmen.

This is a really interesting specimen. Both the Galena and the Sphalerite are display fascinating crystallization. The Galena crystals show an unusual prismatic habit and exhibit a melted look as they rise above the large flat mother crystal. The edges of some of the Galena crystals are smooth and not angular with hollows and skeletal growth. The larger Galena crystal is 2.5cm and Galena cluster on the opposite side is 1.5cm.

The Sphalerite is deep to light yellow-green with typical resinous luster and striations. Most of the Sphalerite is twinned on the [111] so they appear as if they are stacked like thin books. In fact, if you view this specimen at the right angle you will see that the entire assemblage is one giant crystal 3.5cm long. There are also some ordinary crystals of Sphalerite with octahedral faces.

Excellent specimen of Gold with abundant Coloradoite in massive silvery large pods from 6 to 9mm with several tiny less than 1mm crystals. There is a little note with the specimen from Hampson which states "gold casts of quartz". I did not see this. But it is noteworthy that Arnold was interviewed by Tom Rosemeyer for Rocks & Minerals and the a photo of the Gold cast appear in this column (V64 Nov/Dec 1989 p500).
