Excellent showy  specimen with glassy, vitreous and striated crystals to 2.7cm. There are many smallery crystals of perfection. The largest crystal has a small, fairly non-visible piece missing. Otherwise, it is in great shape.

Deep glassy red scalenohedral crystals to 5mm on the face. Along the cross-sections of the specimen you can see the concentric growth patterns from a black Hausmannite matrix which develops into crystalline red Rhodochrosite and finally into an open space where the crystals form.

This is an older specimen from the Charles Noll collection. It is a cabinet size specimen with good coverage of silvery 7mm crystals. All of the crystals are distinct and well-formed showing excellent crystal faces in the many vugs. Specimens of Skutterudite from this historic district are very hard to come by and certainly rare on the market. Most pieces are forever held by museums and private collectors.
