This is a precious, very hard to obtain, Anglesite specimen from the type locality. There are 2.5cm colorless crystals as well as tiny 1-2mm crystals. Galena matrix. Very nice specimen which comes with Freiberg Mineral Museum tag (see prov. tab).

Grey metallic Chalcocite with tarnished native Copper(?). Good representative ore specimen. Collected by Hampson in 1965.

The Summitville district produced about 130,000 pounds of Copper in 1940. Mineralization was long and wide - 1.5 miles north-sout and a mile east-west and cetered by South Mountain. Gold was the principal commodity. Phenomenally rich free Gold in substantial quantities  was produced (Vanderwilt, 1947. Mineral Resources of Colorado).
