Krasheninnikovite was described by Dr. Igor Pekov and this is part of his material used to study and describe the species. The exact locality is the Glavnaya Tenoritovaya fumarole, Second scoria cone, Northern Breakthrough, Great Fissure Eruption, Tolbachik volcano, Kamchatka, Russia.

The Krasheninnikovite is all the white, somewhat acicular crystals with black Tenorite.
