Siderite and smoky Quartz matrix with one little area of around 1mm with a root-beer colored Olmsteadite crystal. The crystal shows faces and is striated. The color is unusual and distiguished from tiny orange crystals elsewhre in the matrix, which are secondary Sphalerite crystals.

Rounded clusters composed of cubic Pyrite crystals. The clusters are 1 to 1.5cm in diameter. The lower Mesabi Range is one of four major Precambrian age mountain ranges in upper Minnesota. The others are the Cuyuna, Vermilion, and the Gunflint. The later being mostly in Ontario. Collectively they are known as the Iron Range and considered the chief producing iron mining district of the United States. This information is taken from Wikipedia and more can be here
