It was tough to get good photos of the Enargite. They are highly reflective with their mirror-like reflectivity. The crystals reach 6mm and there are several of them in a pocket 3.5cm wide. Very nice specimen. Collected by Arnold in 1959.

This is an early specimen in the collecting career of Arnold Hampson. He was raised in Rhode Island and collected along the east coast in the pegmatites. He self-collected this specimen at an early age. Although it's not a striking specimen it's unique since it includes dark red Fluorite crystals mostly cleaved.

A locality specimen from the Pride of the West mine. It is likely to contain silver (argentiferous Galena). The mine worked extensively in the 1880's and then a short lived episode in which cross-cut tunnel was driven to mine the silver bearing Galena. The mine is located in Cunningham Gulch east of the Osceola mine. All the mines in the area east, west and mostly north of Silverton are located in rugged country upwards of 14,000 ft. Mineralization included fracture fillings related to the concentric "cracks" of the Silverton Caldera. Ores included Gold, Silver, Lead and Zinc. The mine is known for its Quartz crystals. More information can be seen in Barbara & John Muntyan article in Rock & Minerals 63:4.
