Rich specimen of rare Uvarovite, the green chromium garnet. Uvarovite is very hard-to-obtain and never seen from this Californian localtiy. These are very limited in supply. Crystals are about 0.5mm and well-defined with many lustrous and sparkly faces. The purple is chromium clinochlore, kammererite. This is probably the better specimen of the three posted in this update.

- Repaired
A superb, hemimorphic Uvite crystal, terminated to 1.5cm showing nice orange color and exposed well in matrix with Molybdenite. The specimen is repaired as there is a fine fracture through the specimen and under UV light shows a blue FL. The repair is well done however. It is an Carter Rich specimen who originally sold it for $250. His tag notes that it is Ex. English.

- Microprobed
This is an old Steve Pullman specimen microprobed by Alfredo Petrov. It showed not only Uytenbogaardtite, but also microscopic Stephanite and Silver. The Uytenbogaardtite is off to the side as black masses not easily seen in the photos. The masses are more evident on the sides. Parts and grains are obviously rich in Silver or are Silver as evident by it's sectility and fresh silvery surface. It is a mineralogically complicated specimen and is fun to observe under the microscope. Type Locality.
