Cubo-octahedral Galena crystals to 8mm with Pyrite. Galena from the Black Hills is best known from the Double Rainbow mine, once operated by the Homestake mining company. The underground mine has since been buried and reclaimed.

A cabinet specimen which is quite appealing with cubo-octahedral crystals to 8mm. Every crystal is shows nice metallic luster, sharp, and well-defined. Also on the specimen are water clear, faint green cubes of Fluorite. Overall excellent, sits naturally well and showy with no damage.

Large, former, Sphalerite crystals totally replaced by Galena. The is a choice specimen for pseudomorph and a very rare occurence not just for this locality but all localites. The crystals have the morphology of Sphalerite, which reach 2.6cm across. Exceptional specimen!!
