This is the best piece on today's Daily Five gallery. This is typical "watercourse" mineralization found in dikes cutting the Precambrian Formations underground at the Homestake mine. On the specimen are needle Quartz to 1cm with light creamy Dolomite crystals to 3mm. Also associated are tiny Pyrite crystals.

This is a superb specimen of colorless Quartz with each crystal steeply terminated. There are four main crystals. The largest is 6cm long. It sits perfectly well.
