A large single iridescent, metallic crystal of Tennantite 5cm long with superb rosette-like crystal groups from 1 to 3mm. The groups are composed of platy crystals with rounded edges. Lautite is orthorhombic and these crystals are consistent with the 1944 sketch by C. Palache, H. Berman, C. Frondel, in The system of mineralogy. Vol I, 7th edition, John Wiley & Sons, New York.

Three pieces of mafic rock, possibly a Basalt or Shoshonite(?), that have the words 'Salvatore Madonna' etched or impressed on one side and the date '1882' on the backside. Additionally there is an old label from the Geologic Institute at the University of Amsterdam that also notes it is a 'Basaltlava' from 1882.
Unfortunately, I was unable to find any details of the 1882 eruption and I'd definitely be interested to know how the words and date were formed on the pieces.
