It is hard to see in the photos, but this specimen is hollow through the center. It is much like a crown full of black, very lustrous, 1-3mm Descloizite crystals.

A choice specimen of dark reddish brown blocky habit crystals of Descloizite to 1.2cm. Each crystal is large and well-defined. Hampson acquired this specimen in 1971 from Ward's. Label from Ward's included - see prov. tab.

It looks black, but in transmitted light are actually a deep yellow. The crystals are approximately 3mm in 8-9mm groups. These are unique "curled" crystals.
